About The Program

The program includes both a classroom and lab. During the classroom segment students will learn photography and compositional fundamentals. Students will complete assignments both in class and out of class. In the lab module students receive instruction in Adobe Lightroom editing software as well as learning the fundamentals of printing.

All students have the opportunity to exhibit their work. The program is also designed to foster personal growth by building leadership and teamwork skills and by helping students learn to accept responsibility. Each student does a self-assessment and examine the qualities of a successful individual. Students successfully completing the course will be given a used camera to keep as their own.

Selection Process

Students will fill out an application/permission form and attend an informational meeting.  Finalists for the program will be interviewed.  Contact S. Nannini at freshlenschicago@gmail.com for more information.
