Emmanuela Aning

Emmanuela Aning was born and raised on the North Side of Chicago and is currently a sophomore at Northside College Prep. Her photographic work is rooted in a curiosity about people, street life, and the natural world. Outside of photography, she enjoys building architectural sets, cooking, and baking.

Growing up surrounded by their influence, Alejandro developed a deep appreciation for the power of photography. He was particularly drawn to the art of capturing life as it unfolds—preserving moments that tell stories and evoke feelings.

His work reflects his desire to stop time and allow others to experience the beauty in the simplest of gestures. When he's not behind the camera, Alejandro enjoys playing soccer and spending time with friends.

Brisa Avelino was born and raised in Chicago’s Edgewater neighborhood and is currently a sophomore at Lake View High School. Her interest in photography began with simple curiosity—she simply thought she might enjoy it. After taking some photography classes, she discovered that photography is much more than just taking pictures; it is a powerful way to capture meaning, emotion, and perspective.

She is especially drawn to photographing nature, people, and street scenes. When she is not behind the camera, she enjoys going on walks, helping others, and spending time with her close family members—experiences that continue to inspire her creative work.

Inspired by her sister’s passion for the art form, she decided to explore photography herself and enrolled in classes, such as the FreshLens Chicago Basic Course.

Her work focused primarily on nature, driven by a desire to express gratitude for the small, often overlooked details in the world around her. Outside of photography, Naomi enjoys spending time at coffee shops, sipping her favorite drinks while working and reflecting—moments that often inspired her creative process.

Daniel Camacho

Daniel Camacho was born in Chicago and is currently a junior at Northside College Prep. His passion for visual art began at an early age, inspired by his mother, an artist who encouraged his creativity and introduced him to drawing. This early exposure laid the foundation for his growing interest in photography.

His journey behind the lens truly began when his uncle purchased a new car. Wanting to capture it, he found the limitations of a phone camera frustrating. Turning to his mother’s professional camera, he discovered a new sense of possibility and began to explore photography more seriously. Since then, Daniel has taken the FreshLens Chicago Basic course and other classes, where he developed a strong interest in automotive photography, drawn to the design, form, and emotion that vehicles can convey.
